Spring Fever in Hollywood: Part 2

Nothing says Spring like fresh cut flowers.  Loretta Young gives us a peak into her cute little kitchen.

Marilyn Monroe enjoys a nice Spring day frolicking in the grass.

Anna May Wong enjoys the quiet of a beautiful garden.

Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart look happy as they take a break from playing table tennis.

Marlene Dietrich shows us her perfect legs as she relaxes in her backyard.

Esther Williams has a new friend.

Gene Tierney makes a day on the farm look fun.

Ginger Rogers has decided to take her bicycle out for a spin.

Olivia De Havilland is picture perfect as she cuts her own fresh flowers.

Lucille Ball is one of the prettiest farm hands I've ever seen.

Who really notices the background when Rita Hayworth is dressed in her cute little Spring outfit?

Thanks for joining me for another look back at our favorite stars as they enjoyed the gorgeous weather. Wherever you are, I hope you're having just as much fun. (Oh, and if you look like Rita while enjoying this gorgeous weather I don't want to know about it. That would just be cruel!)

    1. CFB,
Like most things involving Loretta I'm not surprised to see her arrangement 'over the top'! She is in the top 5 of beautiful classic Hollywood actresses though for me.

Stay tuned for more fun Spring pics and other stuff! : )

  2. My favorite "Spring Fever" picture is.. "Loretta Young" in her kitchen cutting flowers. I have been planting flowers in my garden with my little friend "Winslow". We are getting the backyard ready to hide Easter eggs... :)

    1. Dawn,
I do like the photo of Loretta a lot too as well as Olivia. She was so beautiful.

Will Winslow be dressing up like a bunny? Will you take photos to share? I need to work outside too. My rose bushes need pruning.

  5. I think that picture of Gene comes from "Tobacco Road," so she is forgiven for looking a little "down home." Olivia and Esther are just gorgeous. And, gee, I wish that photo of Anna May Wong was in color.

    1. FlickChick,
For some reason your comment ended up in Spam so I finally noticed it and rescued it. : )

I think that Wong photo would look amazing in color too. Perhaps I can talk Claroscaourox into colorizing it for us.

  7. Page, do you prefer B&W or color pics of all these classic stars? We're so used to seeing them in B&W, I'm curious as to whether it matters to you.

    1. Rich,
That's a great question. Every glamour photo that I have framed with an autograph is in black and white then I have 3 framed of Dolores Del Rio above my bed that are fantastic hand tinted photos. I do like color photos but my favorites are hand tinted photos, postcards just because they are so unique then black and white 2nd.
